FOR-A will introduce its latest addition to the HANABI digital video switcher product family, the HVS-1500HS HANABI 1.5 M/E switcher, at NAB2007.
The HVS-1500HS production switcher supports all major HD formats, as well as 525/60 and 625/50. It offers three types of control panels: 16-button, 24-button and rack-mountable 12-button versions.
Like the other members of the HANABI switcher product family, the HVS-1500HS offers a high-performance DVE capable of 3-D DVE effects. This 3-D DVE has polygonal-based effects where video is literally wrapped around 3-D shapes. The HVS-1500HS can also accommodate an optional two quad split-screen function.
Within the 4RU main chassis, it’s possible to add memory cards and optional storage. An optional frame memory provides three seconds in each of its two channels to record HD, or 19 seconds in each of two channels to record SD video. The recording times can be doubled with memory expansion.
