DG Systems completes distribution network upgrade

DG Systems has completed a planned upgrade of its advertising distribution network - two months ahead of schedule.

A new fleet of DG Spot Boxes now connects more than 3000 TV stations, cable systems, and broadcast and cable networks to the DG network operations center.

The physical improvements made to the network translate into a faster, smarter and more robust offering for advertisers, cable and television affiliates.

With these upgrades, the network has greater capacity and flexibility. It was specifically designed to meet the increased demand for distribution capacity that’s inherent with HDTV.

Anchoring these capabilities is the new DG Spot Box, a conduit for electronically distributing spots. The network reliably distributes an advertiser’s media assets via the Internet, satellite or by physical means. Other important components of the Spot Box network include a clear and intuitive interface; secure firewall protection, multiple storage options and software that optimize network performance.
