E-N-G launches program to ‘re-chassis’ news vans

E-N-G Mobile Systems has launched a program to “re-chassis” ENG vans to migrate equipment from retired news trucks to new vehicles.

The Re-Chassis Program can save broadcasters 15 to 30 percent compared to the cost of building a newly equipped ENG vehicle, according to the company.

The program is available for all of its current models, including ENG and SNG systems. It provides a news vehicle equipped with the reliability and safety features of a new truck, including a full three-year warranty, along with the cost-savings of using tested reliable equipment, available from the retired vehicle.

E-N-G said it would not outfit used or remanufactured vans because of concerns with safety and durability.
