ESPN's Burns to address HDTV Business Conference

Bryan Burns, vice president of strategic business planning and development for ESPN, will address the HDTV Business Conference Jan. 4, 2006, which precedes the opening of CES 2006 in Las Vegas.

Burns, who played an important role in launching ESPN HD in 2002 and ESPN2 HD in January 2005, has a variety of responsibilities, including business evaluations and implementations.

He will join speakers from Qualcomm, WB TV Network, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, Intel, Toshiba, Electronic Frontier Foundation, Samsung, Tweeter and WR Hambrecht.

Among the hot topics to be explored are HD content, IPTV, mobile video and rights management.
