EVS XT[2] offers native support of Apple ProRes 422 codec

EVS has announced integration with Apple Final Cut Studio 2 and native support for Apple ProRes 422 to meet the need for HD crossplatform workflow solutions.

The EVS XT[2] production server serves as the foundation for broadcasters and production facilities looking to ingest, organize, playout and exchange the highest quality video with post-production systems for live and near-live broadcast production.

The integration of the new Apple ProRes 422 codec gives Final Cut Pro users the ability to access media recorded on XT[2] production servers instantly without requiring any transcoding.

The XT[2], combined with its related software applications like IP Director, offers the ability to handle both SD and HD formats and a permanent loop recording capability.
