Kulabyte Express GreenStream codecs

The Kulabyte Express GreenStream codecs can encode and distribute digital content at speeds more than 12 times as fast as the industry-standard codecs alone.

Kulabyte has announced the new Express GreenStream series of VP6 and H.264 live video encoding appliances for full SD.

Express GreenStream uses Kulabyte’s TimeSlice video encoding technology to deliver two-pass VBR qualities in live encoding and streaming environments in a lightweight, half-width, 1RU box with solid-state storage and low-power multicore CPUs.

Kulabyte Express encoding solutions enable faster-than-real-time video encoding, providing better picture quality and bandwidth savings while using industry-standard codec engines. Media creators can encode and distribute digital content at speeds more than 12 times as fast as the industry-standard codecs alone and deliver higher picture qualities in live streaming applications. The company also expects to offer HD support with Express GreenStream.
