A new form making it easier for consumers to file complaints with the FCC about broadcast indecency, obscenity and profanity has been approved by the Office of Management and Budget. The form will be made available via the commission’s Web site.

FCC Form 475B will let the commission collect data on consumer complaints about obscene, profane, and/or indecent material. It’s intended to minimize confusion about what information the commission requires to file a complaint.

To view the commission’s fact sheet on obscenity, profanity and indecency, visit www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/obscene.html.

To view an electronic version of the new complaint form, visit http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/cib/fcc475B.cfm.
