Harris gets Saudi contract for two new TV facilities

The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Culture and Information (MOCI) has contracted Harris for HD products to build out new Saudi Television facilities in Makhah and Medinah. 

This contract includes a wide range of Harris solutions that optimize channel release, core processing, media transport and newsroom and editing workflows. The new facility includes two HD studio control rooms for production and daily live broadcasting of prayers from the Islamic holy shrines in Makhah and Medinah. 

At the heart of the HD control room will be a fully interoperable Harris broadcast system made up of multiple NEXIO video servers, Platinum routers and Videotek TVM-950 multiformat HD/SD-SDI signal analyzers as well as several Zandar Predator II multiviewers and NEO and 6800+ modular series frame synchronizers and converters. The sale also includes the Harris Inscriber RTX and Inscriber G3 graphics solutions.
