I2 TV among first to go tapeless in Middle East

I2 TV in Dubai Media City has deployed the DaletPlus Media Library to drive its tapeless production and broadcast facility.

I2 TV is one of the first tapeless facilities to be implemented in the Middle East. Programs shot using Panasonic P2 cameras and edited on Apple Final Cut Pro NLE workstations are automatically referenced by the DaletPlus Media Library. A low bit-rate proxy is generated and media librarians tag associated metadata. Programs and schedules are prepared using DaletPlus workstations and played out on an Omneon Spectrum Media Server.
