KBS selects Chyron HyperX CG for 2004 Olympic coverage

The Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) has installed seven Chyron HyperX SD character generators that debuted during the South Korean network’s coverage of the 2004 Summer Olympics from Athens.

Chyron's Korean partner Sion Media installed the character generators.

The HyperX SD CGs, which are running Lyric software for coverage of the games, are being used to transmit live footage with real-time 2-D and 3-D animation.

Fully MOS-compliant with Avid plug-ins, the HyperX SD CGs will also play a major role in live news programs at KBS, integrating seamlessly with the broadcaster's MOS newsroom computer system.
