KMPH-TV, the Pappas Telecasting Companies FOX affiliate in the Fresno-Visalia, CA, has launched a new daily Web-only newscast.
“Around the Clock Webcast” will consist of top news stories of the day presented by station anchors in a newscast that’s about five minutes long. In most cases, the stories will be available to Internet users before they’ve been broadcast on KMPH’s “Ten O’CLOCK News.” Viewers may access the new Web newscast at www.kmph.com by clicking the “Around the Clock Webcast” button.
The presentation of news via the Web is intended to offer busy viewers a way to receive encapsulated reports as their schedule allows. It is also hoped that “Around the Clock Webcast” will encourage visitors to tune to the station’s evening newscast when they have time.
