UK independent SNG facilities provider Links Broadcast has taken delivery of a new satellite newsgathering vehicle that was integrated by Megahertz Broadcast Systems.
The vehicle is built on a long wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter that offers a sizeable, safe internal working environment for the company’s clients. The SD vehicle was designed for an easy upgrade to HD in the future. The system offers dual carrier capability with a redundant 2:1 setup and RAS, BISS and QPSK upgrades. Full playout facilities with satellite communications for IFB and a wireless Motorola system for the crew and presenter communications are also on board.
Links Broadcast provides facilities for coverage of breaking news stories, music festivals, major sporting events, award ceremonies and film premieres. Its SNG vehicles provide satellite services combined with on-board production facilities and four-wire communications systems for outside broadcast events.
