Full-service production company Manhattan Place Entertainment in New York City has turned to the Panasonic AJ-SDX900 DVCPro cinema camcorder for a wide variety of projects, including several high profile sports-related productions.
The projects include the opening teases for the CBS Sports production of Super Bowl XXXVIII, NBC Sports production of the Daytona 500 and various NASCAR openings for FOX Sports.
Over the past four years, Manhattan Place has shot teasers and openers for NASCAR on FOX Sports. For the first time this year, it shot in 24p, not only with the AJ-SDX900, but also with Panasonic’s AJ-HDC27 variCam HD cinema camera. Prior to this year, the NASCAR assignment was shot predominantly in DigiBeta with a film look added in post.
