Microwave Radio Communications has unveiled an IP delivery system for ENG and other links from the field to improve workflow efficiency in news and remote production.
Video file transfer protocol (FTP) capability in an ENG van allows quicker movement of raw and edited video. MRC’s IP via ENG link option takes advantage of standard Ethernet ports on laptop computers to provide a microwave FTP circuit to the studio.
When deployed with the MRC’s CodeRunner COFDM van system, connectivity from 1.5 Mb/s to more than 18 Mb/s can be allocated from a stationary or a moving vehicle depending on channel and multi-path conditions.
