NBC extends Olympics arrangement; ESPN shows off NFL Draft Day technology

NBC has extended its arrangement with Sony through 2012 to use the company’s technology in the production of the Olympics, the network announced at Sony’s NAB2005 press conference.

During the press event, ESPN also announced that it would use the company’s new IP-based video conferencing system during the production of its NFL Draft coverage later in April. For the NFL Draft, ESPN used the IPELA to videoconference with team coaches to discuss their draft picks.
