ND SatCom to unveil latest IP HD VSAT modem at IBC2008

ND SatCom will introduce the latest SkyRAY Light IPS HD VSAT modem for mobile IP video broadcasting applications during IBC2008, Sept. 12-16.
The SkyRAY modem offers full IP functionality and an advanced H.264/MPEG-4 AVC HD/SD and MPEG-2 encoder. It supports 4:2:2 encoding, and its encoding latency does not exceed 350ms.
ND SatCom also will feature:
Media Fleet Manager with OpenStreetMaps and weather data to provide vital data in planning remotes and scheduling and booking transmission resources;
RCU 5000, a 2RU component for redundant VSAT, mobile and fixed uplink station configurations used to control the entire uplink chain;
A new generation of ACU, incorporating all the functions of the company’s Antenna Pointing System (APS) with support for remote control via the Web.
