Nucomm to unveil Newscaster DR 2 diversity receiver
Feb 20, 2009 2:12 PM
Among the new features available with the Nucomm Newscaster DR 2 is the ability to receive UHF digital signals in the 150MHz-850MHz band.
Nucomm will introduce the Newscaster DR 2 diversity receiver at the NAB Show, April 20-23, in Las Vegas.
The updated version of the Newscaster DR offers new features including a split box and the ability to receive UHF digital signals in the 150MHz-850MHz band.
Because the DR 2 can receive lower-frequency UHF digital signals, the unit works with external block downconverters. The DR 2 can be supplied with BDCs that can receive a wide range of frequencies of 1.99GHz-7.1GHz, depending on customer requirements.
The DR 2 has four RF inputs that communicate directly to the external BDCs, which form a maximum ratio combination that offers up to four input diversity receive signals.
