PanAmSat to deliver World Cup

The PanAmSat has booked more than 15,000 hours of video transmission time for more than 15 global customers for the 2006 World Cup.

Taking place in Germany from June 9 through July 9, the World Cup will be beamed around the world by PASport, PanAmSat’s global broadcast services network. PanAmSat carries 2,000 distinct offerings to viewers around the world and is a provider of HDTV channels in North America.

PanAmSat’s PASport network offers customers an integrated and managed network of global satellite capacity, dedicated terrestrial fiber and on-site special event support services to provide video transmission of news and sporting events.
