Path 1 to show live, real-time IP digital video transport

Path 1 Network Technologies will showcase its video-over-IP gateways at a series of upcoming tradeshows in Japan along with equipment from other broadcast and networking manufacturers in a series of live, real-time demonstrations designed to show the viability and benefits of terrestrial IP transport of digital video.

At N+I, Asia's integrated networking exhibition, Path 1 will showcase its Pro-MPEG compliant Vx8000, a multi-port, bi-directional video-over-IP gateway.

Path 1's Vx8000 will be featured in the Nortel Networks booth. In addition, Nortel will show the HD x1000 e/d, a broadcast video product co-developed by Path 1 and Frontiers. The HD x1000 e/d is an HD, SD MPEG-2 encoder and decoder that uses a built-in Path 1 IP video gateway. It comes equipped with Forward Error Correction (FEC) technology to protect and deliver video over IP networks.
