Pathfire has introduced its new Point-to-Point Video Solutions product, which enables networks and broadcasters with remote bureaus or station groups to move live and store-and-forward video from one location to another.
The solution lets newsroom personnel digitally ingest news stories and MXF-compliant metadata to deliver the content to one or multiple locations. Items can be delivered to another Point-to-Point device, an FTP server or Web server.
Files are then available for transfer into news production systems.
Stories automatically appear on the system, ready and available at the station's convenience. Using reliable and affordable consumer and/or professional hardware options, every Point-to-Point device is ready to capture, send, receive and play out live and store-and-forward content.
