Pro-Bel's Sirius and ICON equipment is being used at the ingest stage of Pop TV's new Avid iNEWS news production system.
Pop TV in Slovenia has purchased a Pro-Bel Sirius router and ICON signal processing technology as major components of its new integrated news production studio.
Pop TV, which is based in Ljubljana and part of U.S.-owned Central European Media Enterprises, installed a Sirius router for SDI and analog video and AES and analog audio. A wide range of Pro-Bel ICON frames was also installed. The equipment forms part of a new, integrated news production studio that went on-air in September, in time for the Slovenian general elections.
The Sirius and ICON equipment is used at the ingest stage of the broadcaster's new Avid iNEWS news production system. Pop TV selected the Sirius router because of its format-independent switching, which lets broadcasters minimize the quantity of external conversion boxes that otherwise would have been needed.
Pro Motions, Pro-Bel's Slovenian dealer, sold the system.
