Pro-Bel router to assist ACT Media with Austrian soccer coverage

Pro-Bel's 256x256 Sirius router

Pro-Bel has sold a 256x256 Sirius router to ACT Media & TV Productions Service.

Premiere Austria hired ACT Media to produce two new soccer shows for private Austrian broadcaster ATV+. The shows will be distributed via satellite and terrestrially.

ACT Media selected a single-frame Sirius router equipped with 120x104 SDI and 72x88 analog video. The company also upgraded its analog audio Freeway to 128x112, installed a COSMOS configuration and network monitoring system, and selected ICON frames, including fiber transmit and receive boards.

Premiere Austria will provide transmission capabilities over fiber, sending three play-in program parts (baseband video) from its servers using Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) to ACT Media for the creation of the on-air output. The completed programs will be sent back using ATM for contribution to ATV+ at 25Mb/s.

Pro-Bel Austrian dealer, AMEC Medientechnik Vertriebs, sold the router.
