Several major Latin America broadcasters, including Repretel, a Costa Rican TV network, and TV Vanguarda, provider of television coverage to 46 cities in Brazil, have acquired Chyron.
In Costa Rica, Repretel is using two Duet LEX systems for news, sports and entertainment. The Duet LEX was selected for its advanced engineering and real-time, 2-D/3-D graphics capabilities.
The Duet LEX features interoperability with external systems and easy on- and offline graphics creation and editing. Template-based graphic creation enables instant update of text and graphics from a variety of sources.
TV Vanguarda of Brazil recently upgraded its broadcasting facility with Chyron’s MicroX and CAL Box. The Chyron systems will be used for news programs and coverage of high-profile sports events, generating graphics and animations across all programming.
The Duet MicroX is a 2RU, full-featured, single-channel CG with broadcast-quality, real-time animation and playout. CAL Box is Chyron’s graphics platform for which custom applications can be created to play out broadcast-quality graphics.
