With Telemetrics’ new HD Fiber Link option for the 55C camera control system, an HD signal is transmitted across a single-mode fiber-optic cable, which runs alongside the main coax cable.

Telemetrics featured a new HD Fiber Link option for its Coax Link 55C camera control system at InfoComm 2008 in Las Vegas.

The new option offers a means of transmitting HD/SD-SDI video from any camera to the Telemetrics base station over long distances.

The new product consists of a camera adapter option (55C-CA-HDFL) and an HD Fiber Link Base Station (HDFL-BS). The HD signal is transmitted across a single-mode fiber-optic cable, which runs alongside the main coax cable.

The rack-mountable base station is factory-configured with one HD Fiber Link receiver card and can be expanded to house up to four receiver cards. Each card is designed with one fiber input and two HD/SD-SDI outputs. One base station can serve up to four 55C camera control systems with four separate cameras.
