WHO-TV, KDSM-TV strike newscast deal

WHO-TV (NBC 13) and KDSM-TV (FOX 17) in Des Moines, IA, said July 9 they have entered into a news agreement under which WHO-TV will produce a newscast on KDSM, beginning this fall.

The newscast, “Channel 13 News at 9 on FOX 17,” will air 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Owned by Local TV, WHO-TV has broadcast to central Iowa for 54 years. KDSM-TV is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group.
