WVEN-TV turns to BT Satnet for election night coverage

WVEN-TV in Orlando, FL, has purchased a BT Satnet unit from BT Broadcast Services to manage its live newsgathering needs.

The Entravision Communications station purchased the BT Satnet to provide its viewers with extensive, live coverage of news events affecting central Florida communities during its live coverage of the Nov. 2 presidential election.

The BT Satnet unit automatically deploys and locks on the PAS Horizon 1 satellite while the camera operator can log on and book needed satellite time just minutes before needing the link.
