Protecting valuable content from digital piracy and unauthorized access is a critical component in making over-the-top delivery of valuable content a comfortable decision for content owners.

Recently, StreamGuys, a Bayside, CA, based CDN, developed SGPassKey to address these content security issues. SGPassKey strengthens access control to the content StreamGuys distributes and simplifies user authentication.

SGPassKey uses 128-bit AES encryption and provides a self-generating authentication process. It was recently deployed by Live Asia TV for user-subscribed live and on-demand streaming content.

Eduardo Martinez, director of technology, and Dean Mitchell, lead developer, both of StreamGuys, discuss SGPassKey in this podcast interview.
