Is there a place for HDTV in webstreaming? Mike Rotman, the owner of Streamin’ Garage and the writer and producer of several popular television and online shows, emphatically says “Yes.”

Regardless of bandwidth limitations — both on the viewer’s side and occasionally on Rotman’s side — shooting multicamera productions in HD just makes sense. Not only does doing so help to future-proof Rotman by building a library of HD content, but also producing and recording HD allows Rotman to provide HD VOD content via OTT platforms like Roku.

In this podcast interview, Rotman talks about Streamin’ Garage, HD, webcasting and what he is hoping to accomplish.
