In addition, the Kaleido-X offers a direct Ethernet connection to the Utah Scientific router's control system, allowing the Kaleido to download router source labels for use in the multi-viewer's under monitor displays (UMD) and giving the Kaleido-X the ability to send commands to the router to set up proper source assignments for a determined layout preset. The Kaleido-X on-screen mouse operation also allows direct source assignment from the router via drop-down menus. With the ability to assign any source to any destination on the monitor wall transparently from the operator point of view, this comprehensive interface makes the combination of the router and the multi-viewer processor the industry's most flexible and expandable monitor wall solution.
