China Central Television (CCTV) has signed a contract worth about $800,000 with Vizrt for a complete graphics production system.
The aim of CCTV News is to improve the channel's visual impact with viewers. The order calls for a comprehensive range of products, including Viz|Trio 3-D character generators; a Viz|Content Pilot template-based graphics system for journalists’ input; 3-D maps; a live Viz|Weather forecasting system; and a continuous 3-D Viz|Ticker system rendering live news updates.
The system will be installed in Beijing and integrated with an existing newsroom and automation system. The Viz|Content Pilot clients for template-based graphics will be available to CCTV’s journalists.
