Agence France-Presse will offer its video service, AFPTV, to thousands of vertical Web sites via the ClipSyndicate network. AFPTV, a major player in the French market established in 2001, produces video news for television, the Internet and mobile phone services. AFPTV embarked on a global expansion program in 2006. Its rapidly expanding international network now delivers a variety of news and feature packages daily to subscribers worldwide.
AFP will provide ClipSyndicate's network of Web site editors and bloggers rich video content culled from AFPTV's network of 40 journalists in 20 production units around the world with the support of AFP's global network of 2200 journalists and photographers in 165 countries. AFP launched its English-language video earlier this year.
