The system at Ningbo TV includes 300 hours of storage and two channels, one to play out Ningbo TV's new children's channel, which went live in June, and the second for future expansion.
Ningbo TV currently broadcasts 100 hours of programming per day on five channels: News, Economy and Life, City Culture, Movies, and Children's. The security, flexibility and ease of expansion of the Omneon server were key reasons that Ningbo TV selected the system.
Under the control of Founder's automation software, material is ingested from VTRs to the Omneon server and then played out to air, also under automation control.
