Dalet unveils asset management, archiving system for news

Dalet Digital Media Systems has introduced the DaletPlus News Library, an asset management and archive system.
The DaletPlus News Library archives, indexes and distributes news material to broadcasters who use MOS-compliant newsroom computer systems. News Library’s InterWeb option enables remote bureaus and journalists to fully leverage content and source materials.
To automate the archiving of news clips, DaletPlus News Library interfaces with industry standard newsroom computer and video server systems. Scheduled recording of incoming feeds is also available.
All broadcast-quality material is immediately available as low bit-rate proxy files enabling journalists, producers and librarians easy access across the computer network. Users can browse and make shot selections. Selections can be exported to third party nonlinear editing systems for further editing.
