Dalet Digital Media Systems showed its DaletPlus broadcast solutions integrated with Sony’s new PDW-1500 XDCAM deck during IBC2004.
The integration enables DaletPlus users to review, record and modify materials stored on the XDCAM. Sony’s XDCAM format is metadata-aware to facilitate cataloging and retrieving digital assets.
The PDW-1500 features MPEG IMX/DVCAM switchable recording. DaletPlus users can review and record DVCAM and MPEG IMX material via i.Link AVC or file access mode. Once ingested, users are able to edit the clips, add voice-overs, preview material and queue it for broadcast.
DaletPlus maintains all associated XDCAM-sourced metadata from ingest to archive.
The solution features customizable media asset management forms, live database updating and links to hierarchal storage management (HSM) systems.
