Telecast Fiber introduces camera-mounted fiber system

The CopperHead G2 is designed to support virtually any professional camera or camcorder.

Telecast Fiber Systems unveiled its CopperHead "Generation Two" camera-mounted fiber optic system at NAB2006.

The CopperHead G2 is designed to support virtually any professional camera or camcorder. It provides full triax-like functionality for professional camcorders via a single, lightweight tactical fiber optic cable, or via SMPTE hybrid cable for those who want to power their cameras remotely.

The interface supports all signals between the camera and a 1RU base station, including bidirectional analog composite or component video, digital SDI and HD/SDI video, multiple audio, two channels of intercom, full camera control, multiple data paths for control of external devices, and transport of metadata and Ethernet.
