ACCOM to introduce WSD/HDi digital disk recorder, debut Abekas Dveous/MX in Europe, release version 4.5 Abekas 6000 software

The WSD/HDi's import/export utility allows the unit to interface with graphics rendering computers and film printers without concern for proprietary file formats.

Accom will unveil three significant product advancements for IBC2003, including the introduction of the WSD/HDI digital disk recorder, the European debut of the Dveous/MX universal format digital video effects system and the release of version 4.5 operating software for the Abekas 6000.

The WSD/HDi is a new uncompressed HDTV recording solution offering a robust feature set and a video disk storage array in a single chassis. Its import/export utility allows the unit to interface with graphics rendering computers and film printers without concern for proprietary file formats. The WSD/HDi also simultaneously stores HD, SD and uncompressed digital audio on the same machine.

Accom will also debut its Abekas Dveous/MX universal format digital video effects system in Europe at the show. The Dveous/MX offers the same features as it predecessor Dveous, but supports both SD and HD video in the same box.

The company also will release the 4.5 version operating software for the Abekas 6000. It offers many new features and enhancements, including improved connectivity via Telestream’s FlipFactory, split audio editing, faster fiber channel transfer speeds, an updated Content Management Panel, better network connectivity and enhanced live sports operation.
