Acrodyne introduces new UHF multimedia transmitters

Acrodyne Industries (Ai) has announced a new line of solid-state transmitters designed for OFDM/DVB-based digital services in the UHF spectrum. The new Phoenix series uses high-efficiency LDMOS amplifiers and is designed for unattended operation in remote locations. The new transmitter is ideal for those media companies planning to operate in the 700MHz spectrum when it becomes available after the analog system shutoff in February 2009.

The Phoenix transmitter is air-cooled with a modular design that provides a full range of power levels from a few watts to 3kW in preconfigured models. The system supports all global digital transmission standards.

Ai also sells and services the Rohde & Schwarz high-power solid-state TV broadcast transmitter and exciter line as well as manufactures and supports its own line of IOT-based full-power transmission products. All of these products are supported by Ai’s service, system design and operations organization.
