Apple Mac OS X Server Snow Leopard relies on Small Tree technology for optimal performance

Small Tree said that its six-port Gigabit Ethernet adapter (called PEG6) helped Apple’s Mac OS X Server Snow Leopard operating system achieve SPEC benchmarking speeds twice as fast as its predecessor. That’s because Small Tree’s networking and shared storage products are designed to enable data to be transferred quickly and efficiently.

As a member of Small Tree’s GraniteSTOR product line, the PEG6 is ideally suited for file-serving workflows that require high-bandwidth, real-time connectivity with high port density. This facilitates maximum network throughput from today’s high-end OS X systems.

Bob Zelin, an independent video engineer with more than 30 years experience in the television industry, has been recommending Small Tree’s PEG6, along with other GigE products for facility installations he’s supervised for Fox Sports Florida, EA Tiburon and Disney Broadcast Operations.
