Advent Communications to feature new SD, HD video encoder

At NAB2008, Advent Communications will feature the DVE5000, a HD/SD MPEG encoder.

The new encoder includes an integrated HPA controller as well as a Web browser interface to provide remote control. It supports HD and SD MPEG-2 4:2:2 encoding and offers eight audio channels (four analog plus embedded SDI). Options for the compact, half-width rack unit include a 70MHz output and a Dolby E auto-aligner.
