Thanks to a new agreement, Digital Rapids will incorporate MOG Solutions' MXF software technology into its StreamZ, StreamZHD and DRC-Stream media encoding solutions, as well as the Digital Rapids Stream Transcode Manager distributed transcoding system.

MXF is a container format that supports media interchange in acquisition, production and broadcast workflows. MOG's software tools are designed to aid the addition of new MXF capabilities to products.

Digital Rapids said MOG's technology would reduce development time of integrating MXF capabilities into its encoding and transcoding solutions. These MXF tools expose simple programming interfaces and were designed to specifically target the most common MXF use cases in a variety of programming languages with optimized performance and robustness.
The technology has already been successfully integrated in a number of system types ranging from capture boards to graphics systems, video servers and NLEs allowing large-scale interoperability.

Digital Rapids Stream encoding solutions combine hardware for video and audio capture and pre-processing with the Stream software interface, delivering multiformat media encoding and delivery.
