At HD World last week, FOR-A showcased MediaConcierge, a media management system designed to help broadcasters take full advantage of all business opportunities that exist for their media assets. It handles tasks such as media ingest and file format conversion, allowing each asset to be repurposed for delivery via a variety of outlets, including broadcast, the Internet and packaged media. For ingest, the MBP-100SX MXF clip server converts MXF files to baseband video and HD-SDI signals, and vice versa, in real time. The converter uses a new video card that FOR-A developed that supports XDCAM HD, DVCPRO HD and AVC-Intra tapeless media files.
