Irdeto to unveil IPTV Scrambler

At IBC2007, Irdeto will release its new IPTV Scrambler, which performs real-time content scrambling at the MPEG-2 TS level reaching speeds of up to 850Mb/s.

The IPTV Scrambler enables:

  • Enhanced time-shift functionality, including network PVR and TV pause;
  • Ability to support full or partial scrambling of H.264 or MPEG-2 video;
  • Use of DVB CSA or AES CBC ciphers for scrambling;
  • Support for standards-based quality monitoring (DVB ETR 290);
  • Support for standards-based advertisement insertion signaling (SCTE-35 cue-tone signaling);
  • Modular redundancy and scalability options.
