DivX subsidiary MainConcept will highlight its newly released MainConcept Reference 1.6 for Windows at IBC2008.

The video converter application now features integrated DivX support with a dedicated software licensing plug-in. DivX transcoding capabilities join the portfolio of existing MainConcept plug-ins for H.264/AVC, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 Part 2, VC-1, DVCPRO and JPEG2000.

With standard presets ranging from video for mobile devices to HD video, the DivX plug-in for MainConcept Reference makes it easier to encode video footage into DivX compliant streams.

MainConcept Reference 1.6 and the DivX plug-in became available for online purchase and download at the MainConcept Web site Sept. 1.
