Real Digital Media (RDM) is now shipping its Neocast Media Player GS. The company has emphasized ease-of-use by implementing a modular design in the product’s firmware. This design allows the firmware to easily port to other Windows-based hardware platforms, allowing these devices to become Neocast-ready and available as part of a digital signage network operated by the media server.

The Neocast Media Player GS network media appliance stores and plays digital signage promotions and corporate communications. The product supports a variety of video, graphical and audio formats, including WMV, QuickTime, MPEG 1, 2-4, Divx, VOB, PNG, JPG, GIF and Macromedia Shockwave and Flash.
