NTP Technology introduces IP-based router control system

NTP Technology has upgraded its RCCore router control System, which is a software application that handles configuration, control and supervision of all router modules in an NTP audio signal distribution system. It also forms a communication interface to NTP’s VMC and BLISS control options and to third-party communication protocols.
RCCoreV3 is based on the company’s QNX Neutrino real-time operating system and operates through a network-based infrastructure with all communication based on TCP/IP link protocol and a 10Mb/s or 100Mb/s LAN/WAN interface. The 635 controller itself is a high-performance industrial-grade PC with an integral solid-state server providing fast control access and resources for additional control applications.
Benefits include remote access and login at expert-user level for system setup, maintenance and database management. The new control software also allows secure access via virtual private network. The router system can be used as a stand-alone controller within the NTP 635-300 router or run from standard PC hardware. It allows highly efficient control of the router's dual-backbone interface and supports the double LAN interface on 625-800 frames. The feature set also includes future support for SNMP.
