The new NEXUS-gbe broadcast server from PubliTronic can output DVB transport streams over Ethernet.
PubliTronic has introduced NEXUS-gbe, the latest addition to its NEXUS family of integrated playout platforms. NEXUS-gbe is a GigE broadcast server with integrated audio, video and graphics capabilities that support completely automated DTV channel playout and channel branding.
NEXUS-gbe adds an integrated MPEG-2/MPEG-4/H.264 encoder to support direct multicast DVB-compliant transport streams on the GigE outputs. By eliminating the need for a separate encoder system, NEXUS-gbe offers cost savings in parallel with making the system more manageable and less complex.
