Tektronix will unveil a new picture quality analyzer and new 3Gb/s dual-link monitoring for the WVR7120/WFM7220 at NAB2008.

The PQA500 Picture Quality Analyzer incorporates eight new Tektronix patents and embodies a comprehensive human vision model along with a complete suite of measurement and diagnostic tools for picture quality analysis.

The PQA500 provides full support for HD formats. Video developers and broadcasters can quantify subjective video responses with the PQA500, enabling them to adapt their video content for differences in format and display type.

The new dual-link option for the WVR7120/WFM7220 allows high-end production facilities, post houses and equipment manufacturers to use all the basic monitoring functionality they are already comfortable with in SD/HD-SDI when working with dual-link signals, thus allowing users to transition from HD/SD–SDI to dual link.
