SWE-DISH Satellite Systems AB has received an order for up to 20 SWE-DISH Drive-Away 150 systems for several Spanish broadcasters, primarily Television Espanola (TVE).

The agreement was secured in cooperation with SWE-DISH’s Spain-based sales and service partner, Atlas Sistemas. TVE will deploy 16 of the vehicle-mounted 1.5m antenna systems throughout Spain, giving the broadcaster greater mobility to produce live broadcasts of local news and events.

The Drive-Away 150 SATCOM terminal features a design that completely encloses the system in a rugged compartment on the top of a vehicle. The antenna deploys within 10 minutes and automatically acquires a selected satellite.

The terminals ordered by TVE are expected to be delivered late in 2007 and early 2008, and deployed soon after.
