WWAY-TV in Wilmington, NC, has deployed an Echolab Overture2 MD, a 2M/E video switcher featuring internal up/crossconversion, and the company's Conductor touch-screen interface.
WWAY-TV3, an ABC affiliate owned by Morris Multimedia, uses the Overture2 MD switcher for its live studio newscasts and for taped shows. The Overture2 MD has enabled the station for the first time to incorporate visual effects, such as 3-D boxes and page-turn wipes, into their programming.
Echolab's Overture2 MD production system delivers internal conversion and synchronization. It includes four M/E keys and two downstream keyers to enable title keying for graphics, logos and bugs. It also offers four channels of DVE with warp and lighting effects, accepts up to 32 multiformat analog and digital signals and provides up to 16 multiformat outputs.
