Astro Systems, Astrodesign introduce RGB 4:4:4 HDD recorder

Astro Systems and Astrodesign have rolled out the new HR-7400 compact, uncompressed digital RGB (4:4:4) disk recorder.

The HR-7400 can record and load up to 22 minutes of uncompressed dual link HD footage in real time. It also supports YPbPr (4:2:2) video signals.

The HR-7400 also allows for a multi-recorder link up application, which in turn, allows for the output of higher resolutions, such as 3840 x 2160 (four HR-7400 units producing a quad display). This same linking feature between units also can extend recording/playing time. Two units allows for 44 minutes; three units, 66; and four, 88.

The HR-7400 input and output are fully compliant with SMPTE 274M, SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 296M & SMPTE 372M. The HR-4700 also supports 8 channels of embedded audio.
